A doll destroyed. A boy accused. A girl determined to find the real culprit before he is convicted.
Eleven-year-old Luanna Porcello dreams of following in her parents' footsteps and becoming a lawyer. A peacemaker at heart, Luanna hates when anyone is unhappy. So it's no surprise she's troubled when she overhears her playmate's twin accusing him of destroying her beloved doll. Eager to help her friend clear his name, Luanna gets the idea to start a kids court and have a trial.
With the help of a few friends, Luanna sets up the court complete with judge, bailiff, and court reporter and throws herself into the case. Of course, her pal insists he's innocent, and Luanna is determined to prove he's not the doll destroyer his sister is making him out to be. But as the evidence against him piles up, Luanna wonders, is her friend as innocent as he claims he is?
