When a terrible storm takes Quentin on a detour, he finds something far more dangerous than tornados and hail; he finds Jessica, who threatens to leave a gaping hole in his heart. Jessica is running from more than a storm. A painful secret from her past has left physical as well as emotional scars. Although she finds herself falling for Quentin, she flees the safety of his company, convinced he’d be better off without her. Unfortunately, trouble finds her before Quentin does. Freeing Jessica from a would-be kidnapper is just the beginning. Convincing her to forget her past proves to be an even tougher challenge as he persuades her to return with him to his Texas home.

Quentin, the trucker disguised as a knight in shining armor, comes across a damsel in distress on a stormy night - and swoops her off on a cross country drive. I enjoyed the fast read and falling in love with the characters through their journey in life and in love.

I started out liking Jessie and feeling sorry for her. But despite her yourh and PTSD I expected more empathy and maturity from her, as people who have hard lives usually grow up quicker. As the book went along I got disgusted with her self-centeredness, thoughtlessness, and inability to keep a promise. Her man was a marvel of patience and deserved better.

Not my usual faire, but it's been forever since Ms. Kramin gave us anything new, so I jumped on it anyway. Yeah, so I missed the action-supsense I get from her Hailey books, or sf from the Dustin books, but hey, Quentin: best book boyfriend in ages. A real sweetheart. I'm kinda done with the broody, catch-me-in-a good-mood-someday types. At least for now. Quentin manages to be an all-around sweetheart without losing an ounce of his masculinity. And the author makes it believable. Actually, she makes it all believable: the characters, the developing relationship, the issues they dealt with, the setting, events, etc. She even made me wish I was as nice a person as Jessie is (but without her problems). The great dialog (all her books have it) helps a lot, and the pacing is good too. Conflicts don't go on too long and they were resolved in non-coincidental ways. The story kept me guessing right up till the last page. Even though I KNEW it had to have a happy ending, she had me doubting. Comfort-food reading. Yum.

I read this book at one setting. I could not put it down. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a book that is not full of explicit sex scenes but with a great story line. You will not be disappointed in this book. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Come fall in love with Jess and Quentin. This is a great story about two people getting to know one another and falling in love. There are lots of good twists and turns in the story and it kept me reading until I finished.

Great dialogue and well done, I loved the title and how well it was carried throughout the book. I think it is important when the title of a book actually has a reference to the story. There were some minor stressful events throughout the story for the characters to navigate, some mild non graphic sex scenes and a bit of humor.
Quinten is probably the most perfect guy for sure. He was almost a bit sappy as he followed Jessica around like a lost puppy in love. Jessica was so down on herself, lacking in self confidence, she ended up treating Quinten terrible, I give him a huge pat on the back for putting up with it all. Overall an enjoyable read and I would recommend.

CAn Quentin make Jessie realise that she is worth to be loved and have her happily ever after? When Quentin takes Jessie in his truck in an stormy new get little he knows that he has found the love of his life. He has to convince Jessie to stop running and give him a chance. Sweet, funny and a little spicy.
